Dear friends and supporters,
I hope you are all well and safe during these terrible times, with devastating wars raging in two regions where I was born and where prt of my family is.
Since my last post, or perhaps even since the first post, nothing good has happened. The system is working hard to oppress us, and it is quietly engaging in unpleasant exercises. But I remind myself that it has always been difficult to fight for justice throughout the centuries. As a friend of mine put it, “We have to accept the parasites and opportunists for what they are. They serve as the ‘hyenas’ of the savanna that is our world, coming in to cause trouble, steal meat, and leverage the efforts of lions, etc.”
I thank this friend and all of our dear friends and supporters for standing with us, making our survival possible, nourishing our trust, and helping us to survive day by day. I also thank the lawyers who stand up for us and those who continue to advise and suggest steps. Together, we will certainly make those two fraudulent structures, UBS and Credit Suisse, which are now under one ownership, accountable.
Here is a list of recent events:
- Credit Suisse:
- Filed an affidavit not by Credit Suisse but by a lawyer, which is against the court rules.
- During the hearing on October 11, 2023, they did not oppose our applications for lack of reasoning, and the ruling was sent to a retired judge to complete, which is a very strange proceeding.
- They are clearly just trying to extend the time in their only hope of exhausting us or somehow miraculously throwing us out of the litigation set through the UBS case.
- UBS:
- Bahamas: Within the time ordered by the judge, UBS filed an affidavit in which they ridiculously try to say that our house value has dropped to $1 million, while an empty lot in Lyford Cay, which is smaller and in a less desirable location, but still in the same prestigious gated community, is now listed for $2.2 million, townhouse is sold for $4.2 mln. We have produced evidence from a certified appraiser that the value of our house is at least $3.4 million.
- US: Our motion to the SDNY judge Dkt 150 was dismissed in the Memo Dkt 151 that listed our reasons but did not give any reasons for the decision.
- We appealed to the 2nd Circuit bt the
- both were also denied without any reasoning Dkt 89 .
I wonder how it is possible, in view of all the facts coming out about this criminal structure UBS-Credit Suisse, and in the face of the interview released by the French whistleblower Stephanie Gibaud, that the system continues to favor and assist them. We shall see, but we will certainly keep our part in this unequal fight. Your help and attention are essential. Thank you.
