Update, Court of Appeal Hearing 17 March 2020

Dear Friends and Supporters,
I hope all of you and your close ones are safe, finding new insights and light through this time of isolation, a deeper inner absorption.
One month ago we had our last hearing in the Court of Appeal of the Bahamas, before the full panel (insert link).
Our heroic lawyer, Mrs. Yvette McCartney – Meredith http://cyvettemccartney.net/ did not even leave the Court room for a lunch pause, 7 hours inside, 6 of them of the hearing. Mrs. Yvette McCartney Meredith is acting Pro Bono for us, as Mr. Philip Lundy is doing for five years:
Thank you so much, our deepest gratitude! And thanks as well to the precious adviser, whose name we can not yet mention, and to others overseas who continue to support and advise us. There are so few ready to stay and see justice through when it requires sacrifice. Thank you!
Thanks also to the editor of this post and our supporter, and thanks to the family who gave us a beautiful home to live in until all of this will be over, and to everyone who remembers us, praying and, especially, coming with gestures of precious help!
β€œFew will have the greatness to bend history itself, but each of us can work to change a small portion of events. It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”
― Robert F. Kennedy
We hope we were successful in persuading the Court that we ought to be granted a leave to defend the mortgage action UBS bank moved against us and where the judgment against us was issued on 23 March 2015 without our defence having been heard, where a Counterclaim was considered, without us being in Court (our attorney at that time mixed up the dates and we were not aware about the hearing), as it was already confirmed in the Privy Council (UK) judgment (insert the link to the website page).
The Court reserved its decision. I hope that now that there are not as many hearings, they will have time to deliver it soon.
I am reserving and melting out all emotions and bitterness of these five years, and waiting in hope. Indeed, it took me one month just to acquire enough calmness to deliver this notice.
We wish all of you and your loved ones to be safe, and please, continue to pray for us and support us.
