Rodney Moncur – the Only Person in the Bahamian Media Without Fear, Willing to Place People Above the Influence of $

I can count less than five members recognized by society who stand for us.
And we met no media representative who had the courage to speak about our case, except one.
As after each rainfall there is sunshine, as after every painful moment inevitably will come joyful times, here is our struggle with the media ending in glory and in the best way!
We were gifted and privileged to meet the honorable Bahamian activist, the voice for truth and fighter for the rights of Bahamian people – Mr. Rodney Moncur, whose bravery and devotion to truth and justice is the remarkable light for the whole Bahamas and I would say the world – it is thanks to fearless people like him, to their devotion and determination to pursue a higher purpose, that civilization is advancing.

Mr. Moncur’s activism is briefly reported here :
1976 – against corruption in the judicial system,
1978 – against the removal of the fruit and vegetable vendors from Woodes Rodgers Wharf to Balliou Hill Road,
1980 – against abuse of the Local Governments in the Family Islands and was instrumental in reforming the system;
1981 – against the increase of bus fares, which remained the same for more than a decade later;
1982 – against the introduction of a tax on every well in every yard in the country, which was never mentioned again;
1983 – against intolerable conditions in public schools;
1985 – against politicians alleged involvement in the narcotics trade and presented a petition with thousands of signatures to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II during her visit;
1986 – forces a bye-election in St. Barnabas;
1999 – against poor conditions of the Straw Market.

Thanks to the Universe, he and his family members left earlier to sleep out of their home, which saved their lives! A strange coincidence that reminds me about the fire in our home on the 27th of October 2015.
We are overexcited with this meeting and opportunity to join forces in fighting for Justice and the rights of every person.
Yesterday in his show, Mr. Moncur opened the doors to many Bahamians who are still unaware of their rights in mortgage actions.
On Monday, November 5th, after our hearing, Mr Moncur reported it. The picture on this post is of that day, at the doors of the Court of Appeal.
Yesterday was the second radio broadcast where Mr. Moncur took on the mortgage issue and how it can help Bahamians to exercise their rights. We hope more will follow.
